Patrick Roger

Paris - France

A chocolate artist and aroma king

patrick-roger-statue-harold

Yes, Patrick Roger is a world recognized French chocolate expert and maker, but he is firstly a nature lover in a quest for pleasures. His tools are chocolate and art. He creates real master pieces made of chocolate and he creates chocolate aromas. When a chocolate statue is deemed worthy, he makes a real bronze of it. When a chocolate bonbon is deemed worthy he shares it with his customers and admirers.

His flagship store in Paris on the grandiose "Place de la Madeleine", just a stone throw from the famous "Place de la Concorde", is in itself a piece of art. Using metallic

tubes reminiscent of organ pipes, he creates a unique atmosphere that manages to be both extraordinary and conforting. Adorned with some of his large chocolate statues and some bronze ones, the store is an invitation to sensory experiences. Patrick Roger won the extremely selective distinction of "Meilleur ouvrier de France" (Best craftsman of France) by creating a new chocolate delicassy that mixes fruity aromas with superior chocolate flavor. They are the green, yellow and white round "bonbons" in the middle of the box below.

Patrick Roger uses the best chocolate from Valrhona (Chocolate manufacturer based South the city of Lyon, France) and adds his talent to produce incredible aromas and marvallous sensations.

He is starting to produce his own chocolate bars. In order to obtain the best possible flavors he travels to, usually small, plantations in Madagascar, Ecuador or other renowed cacao producing regions of the world. There, he selects the beans from the fields, decides on the lenght of the necessary fermentation and the drying process. Once back in his Laboratory in Paris (in fact in Sceaux, ten miles from Paris's center) he completes the process by carefully roasting, grinding and conching the cacao.

All these efforts yield a unique and fabulous result in the shape of either exquisite chocolate bars or incredible bonbons.

Currently operating eight shops in the Paris regions, Patrick Roger's business is growing and theres is no doubt that this chocolate artist will increase his mark on the "art of chocolate".
